I genuinely thought it was the Greek alphabet at first, and not just so I could say “it’s all Greek to me”.

Well, I just handwrote all the Hiragana (which you said) and Katakana (which was a bit further than what you said). Something that I don’t see a lot of people doing are writing the obsolete wi and we Hiragana and Katakana. I did it. Check my handwriting!

However, I censored my name and organized the chart a bit more (for obvious reasons). Also, “Alt.” means alternative, like in an alternative more modern way to write wi and we. I hope you enjoy my handwriting! So far I’m enjoying all your guys’ handwritings! Keep it up!

Why did you do wi and we?

I still see them generally used every once in a while. It’s a good thing to know them just in case you run across them.

I also enjoy learning to write new characters.

you don’t really need to know how to write them, though. Just seeing them is rare enough, haha

Clearly you need to drink more ヱビスビール. :stuck_out_tongue:

Wrote mine out real fast. My handwriting is nicer than some of my students, but it’s still really bad.

Follows my English handwriting trend of being readable but not exactly pretty.

Grading is hard, but I can comment😉

Ohh your kana are so unique and cute💕
Some of them might not be quite correct (like は being flipped, etc) yet but keep practicing — 頑張って!

Oh beautiful handwriting👏
ふ looks kind of like ら, but everything else looks pretty good!

Nice! They are all correct and readable

Nice job on this one too — no mistake, all readable👏

ふ looks like ら but with extra fins on both sides, but everything else looks good!

さすが👏 Beautiful handwriting!
(…wait, did you just use the wrapping paper for the tenugui we just sent you as the prize?)

Did you write these!? すごい👏

Nice handwriting! む could be a bit longer but everything else looks really nice.

ね kind of looks like something else but nice handwriting!

Oh nice! All correct and nice handwriting!

…Sh-should I keep going?

Looks like many people are having hard time writing ふ correctly (which I didn’t realize it was hard until now)

I hate writing ふ with a passion!

Now, I wanna join in so you can comment on my handwriting.

  1. I’m impressed you recognised that
  2. Not gonna waste free paper
  3. Did you get the painting or did it get lost in the trans-atlantic postal mire? :sparkling_heart:

Thanks for recycling — that paper came from Japan, too so I am glad it didn’t go waste💕

We did get it, thank you! (I was gonna prepare something before sending you a thank you email, but thank you!)

to and te, the bane of my existence!

I learned hiragana over a year ago and have only just started learning actual Japanese vocabulary. Once upon a time I could also write katakana… I’ll be back soon, little buggers…

Your handwriting is easy to read! Neat👏
ふ could use a bit more practice but it’s pretty good considering the difficulty!
Another thing り might look a bit like い. Maybe write the right curvy stick part a bit longer next time?

They’d be neater if I was writing on paper, but what’s the point in having a work laptop that doubles as a tablet if you don’t use the pen sometimes?
Also…am I the only one who writes my そ the alternate way?? :open_mouth:
(We’re not going to talk about my sloppy ふ because it’s too late to fix it after five years of bad habits >_>)
